A walking foot can really take your sewing to the next level, and once you’ve used it, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it!  The extra set of feed dogs included in the walking foot work with your machine’s feed dogs to evenly feed fabric.  This is especially helpful with quilt “sandwiches” and thick fabrics like vinyl or leather.

This is not a snap on foot.  This even feed foot is for low shank machines, like Singers, Brothers, Janomes, Elnas, and Viking.  Some machines have high shanks (some models by brands like Kenmore, New Home, and Pfaff), some have slant shanks (Singer Slant machines), and some have front mounting shanks (some models by New Home and White).  Berninas need an adapter to work with a low shank foot.
