The Athena Two is a variation of La Fred's popular Athena Blouse pattern. This moderately fitted blouse features a wing collar with a unique square aremhole and a pleated sleeve hem in a long-sleeved and short sleeeved version. The pleated hem is optional in the short-sleeved version. The blouse is fitted with darts in the front and the back, and features a pointed weskit bottom in the front. It is meant to be worn outside a skirt or pants instead of tucked in. The Athena Two pattern includes instructions for enlarging for sizes larger than XXL, as well as enlarging through the bust only. You'll want to add this elegant blouse to your collection right away!
SUGGESTED FABRICS: Fabrics with body such as silk organza, silk duppoini or shantung, Thai silk, linen, cotton. Medium weight rayon, wool or silk. Light to medium weight knits, such as pollar fleece or wool double knit. If lightweight silks are used, you may choose to underline them with silk organza for more body.
NOTIONS: Thread; Buttons: 7 (5/8") long-sleeve version and optional buttons on short sleeved version. 5 (5/8") for short-sleeved version without buttons.
SUGGESTED INTERFACING: Sew-in silk organza, tulie or other light-weight fabrics. Fusible: fusible tricot; all bias or So-Sheer.
EASE MEASUREMENTS: There are approx. 6" - 8" of ease at the bust in each size.
