Parking:
90 minute paid parking is available in front of our store and across the street. ParkEZ meters are enforced from 9am - 6pm.
The ParkEZ meters issue a ticket for you to place on your car's dashboard. Even though the parking spaces in our area are not numbered, you are still required to buy a ticket from one of the area pay stations. ParkEZ meters accept quarters, credit cards, and debit cards. They do not accept bills. Minimum time is 12 minutes for one quarter. Credit and debit card minimums may be different.

2 hour free parking can also be found around the corner on Blake Street.
Off-street parking lots and garages are located a few blocks north of us in downtown Berkeley. We recommend the parking lot on Milvia between Dwight Way and Blake.
Please do not park in the yellow zones.
Public Transportation:
BART Train Directions:
Take the Richmond BART Line. We are between the Ashby and the Downtown Berkeley stops. We recommend taking the Downtown Berkeley stop and walk south on Shattuck (as you come off of BART look to the East Bay Hills and go to the right) about 8 short and colorful blocks.
AC Transit Bus:
AC Transit bus line 18 stops both at Downtown Berkeley Bart and in front of our store.
Driving Directions
From Oakland (on surface streets):
Head north (toward Berkeley) on Shattuck until you see our store on the left side (the Bay side). Go up one block and make a U-turn or circle the block to find parking in front of our store or around the corner. Alternative parking: across the street and don’t forget to use the pay station!
If driving on Telegraph, drive North toward Berkeley. Cross Dwight Way and turn left at Haste, go down 3 blocks and turn left on Shattuck. Go to 2518 Shattuck.
From Oakland / San Leandro / Hayward / Fremont:
(Via Freeway): From 880, take 980 to 24 to Martin Luther King/51st Ave. From 580 go to 24 to the Martin Luther King exit (the exit to the left), and continue on MLK past Alcatraz, Ashby to Dwight Way, and make a right turn. Go up 2 blocks and turn right on Shattuck Ave. Look for parking in our alcove area (pay for a parking pass at the pay station in the middle of the block and put it in your drivers side window) or go around the bock to the right and look for free two-hour street parking.
From San Francisco / San Mateo:
Take Bay Bridge to Hwy 80. Stay in left lanes when exiting bridge and continue on Hwy 80 EAST toward Sacramento. Get in the right lane and take the Ashby Exit (which comes up quite quickly). Follow Ashby all the way up to Shattuck Ave (a couple of miles) and turn Left. Go about 7 blocks and look for us on the left side of the street in between Blake Street and Dwight Way. Dwight is a one-way street so you need to go up a block, make a U-turn or circle the block to find parking.
From Marin County:
Take the Richmond/San Rafael Bridge (Hwy 580). Continue on 580 to HWY 80 toward Berkeley and get off at the University Exit. You can continue all the way up University and turn right at Shattuck, then go about 7 blocks and cross Dwight Way and look for parking ... OR:
(To avoid University and Shattuck) you can still get off 80 at the University Exit and take your first right turn on 6th St. Go about 7 - 8 blocks (to 2nd signal) and turn left at Dwight Way. Go up a mile or so to Shattuck and turn right. Look for parking.
From Albany / El Cerrito / Richmond:
(Via Freeway) Take Hwy 80 South to University Exit. Then follow directions listed under Marin County.
From Orinda / Lafayette / Walnut Creek / Pleasant Hill / Concord:Take Hwy 24 through the Caldecott Tunnel and take the first Berkeley Exit, which turns into Ashby Ave. and Hwy 13. Follow the road past the Claremont Hotel, College and Telegraph Avenues. Turn Right on Shattuck and go about 7 blocks. You will see us on the Left side (the Bay side). Since Dwight is a one-way street here, you need to go one more block to Haste and either make a U-turn or go around the block to find parking.
Or -- to avoid Ashby, take Telegraph Exit off of Hwy 24. Turn right onto Telegraph. Go to Haste and turn left. Go down a few blocks to Shattuck and turn left. Continue just past Dwight Way and pull into parking area in front of our store.
